Send Gear for Review
We accept gear submissions from brands for independent editorial review. Samples are welcome — our opinions are not for sale.
HuntGearGuide publishes hands-on and research-backed reviews of hunting gear across crossbows, optics, camo, lighting, packs, and accessories. If you make a product that belongs in front of serious hunters, we'd like to evaluate it.
Products may be provided free of charge for review purposes. Providing a sample does not guarantee coverage, a positive review, or any particular placement on the site. Every review reflects our honest assessment of how the product performs in real hunting conditions.
What We Review
Optics & Electronics
Rangefinders, trail cameras, night vision, binoculars, and sighting systems tested for performance, durability, and value.
Apparel & Footwear
Camo systems, base layers, outerwear, and hunting boots reviewed for fit, warmth, scent control, and field practicality.
Packs & Carry Gear
Day packs, hunting backpacks, organizer pouches, tool rolls, and range bags evaluated for capacity, organization, and durability.
Lighting & Utility
Headlamps, flashlights, lanterns, and power banks reviewed for brightness, runtime, and suitability for pre-dawn and post-dark hunting.
Hunting Accessories
Field tools, safety gear, prep equipment, and camp accessories reviewed for the practical value they add to a hunter's kit.
How the Process Works
1. Reach Out First
Email us before shipping anything. Include the product name, a link, and a brief note on what makes it worth reviewing. We'll confirm whether it fits our current coverage areas.
2. Send the Product
If we agree to review it, we'll provide a shipping address. Samples should arrive retail-ready. We do not return products unless agreed to in advance.
3. We Test and Write
We evaluate the product against real hunting use cases — not just spec sheets. Reviews may take four to eight weeks depending on seasonal conditions and testing requirements.
4. We Publish Honestly
The published review reflects our actual experience. We do not share copy for approval before publishing, and we do not alter findings based on brand feedback.
Editorial Policy
Editorial independence is non-negotiable. Brands that provide samples have no influence over the content, tone, score, or placement of a review. A free sample creates an obligation to evaluate the product fairly — nothing more.
We do not accept payment for positive coverage, featured placement, or guaranteed inclusion in buying guides. If a product earns a recommendation, it is because it genuinely outperforms the alternatives at its price point for the use cases we describe.
Products that do not meet our standards will either receive an honest negative review or will not be covered at all. We will not publish a review we cannot stand behind.
Disclosure Policy
Every review of a product received free of charge is clearly labeled. You will see a disclosure at the top of any such review that reads something like: "This product was provided by the manufacturer for review. Our assessment is independent and uncompensated."
This disclosure practice follows the FTC's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials. We believe readers deserve to know how we acquired a product before reading our opinion of it.
Affiliate links on review pages are disclosed separately and operate under the same policy as the rest of the site — commissions do not influence our ratings or recommendations.

Email us at info@huntgearguide.com with the subject line "Review Submission". Include the product name, a link, your brand website, and a brief description of who it's built for. We'll respond within a few business days.
